Dancin' Dan learned the DJ Entertainment business from "the best"! I ran into an old friend, Kenny Picciotti, and after some catching up on the how ya been's and the what've you been doings, Kenny told me that he was a DJ, working the Clubs with Legendary Philadelphia Radio Personality, Hy Lit. In the Philadelphia area, Hy Lit was the one who taught us about Rock n' Roll on WIBG, Radio 99. He said I should come hang out with them some night....so I did....and soon after that night, I was standing on stage next to Hy Lit 3 nights a week ! I was hooked on the business ! That was 1985, and I haven't looked back ! Sadly, in 1991, Kenny passed away, and it was just me and "Hyski", side by side, 7 nights a week, all over the Philly / S. Jersey area, entertaining at some of the hottest clubs in the area. I was so fortunate to have learned from him, but more fortunate to become his friend ! In November of 2007, Hyski was called home. He was a friend...a mentor, and he is sadly missed !
